Most property investors 'doing well'

The private rented sector has remained strong during the recession
and most landlords are doing well, according to one industry
expert.
Despite admitting there are both "winners and losers" within the
buy-to-let sector, the managing director of the Buy-to-Let Show
Oliver Romain said that landlords who rent out their properties as
part of a long-term investment plan have been successful
recently.
His comments come after FindaProperty.com's May rental index
revealed that there was monthly rental growth in some areas of the
UK.
The south-east saw a 0.7 per cent increase in rents, while there
were hikes of 0.9 per cent and 0.3 per cent in Scotland and the
West Midlands respectively.
Mr Romain remarked: "If you have got the capital and the ability to
buy property at the moment through the traditional methods, then
you will find that the yields are at an all-time high."
